ABOUT ABOUT

Spearheaded by social good champions Generocity and creative agency Here’s My Chance, Philly DoGooder is a true, sustainable social venture. In its first year, Philly DoGooder’s citywide video competition celebrated 90 of the region’s most innovative community groups and provided an opportunity for corporate volunteer programs and the local creatives to make a real difference. For our second year, we seek to do it even bigger and better than before.  Our theme this year is about championing digital storytelling and empowering all socially driven organizations with the resources and knowledge to build a sustainable online community.

The competition provides the opportunity for local filmakers to create high-quality videos that tell the story of social impact organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area. Filmakers and organizations will meet and be matched at the Philly DoGooder Video Hackathon on MLK Day, January 20. The public voting challenge will open on Saturday, Febuary 1 and will go beyond voting for just the best films, but also the city’s best community DoGooders, both individuals and companies. There's still time to nominate your favorite Community DoGooder HERE

Once the videos are create and voting/judging has taken place, we invite you to join us for the Second Annual Philly DoGooder Awards in Hamilton Hall at the University of the Arts. Join us for a celebration with an awards ceeremony, hors d’oeuvres, open bar, and dancing!
